Thermaltake LCGS View 9890S-380XL Overview
If you’re after an RTX 5090 gaming PC, Thermaltake has a handful of configurations across their LCGS View and Reactor 9880 lineups. We like this configuration the most as it’s a bit cheaper and has a nice-looking all white design.
This configuration comes with an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU, NVIDIA’s flasghip RTX 5090 GPU, and 32GB of DDR5 memory. There are configurations of both the View and Reactor that include the 9950X3D CPU instead, but they are a couple hundred dollars more and they won’t offer that big of an in-game performance bump.
To round out the part list, this setup comes with an X870 chipset motherboard, a 360mm AIO cooler, a 2TB NVME SSD, and Thermaltake’s View 380 XL case.
Overall, this isn’t the cheapest RTX 5090 gaming PC you’ll currently find (that would probably be this Skytech 5090 desktop), but if you don’t mind paying a premium to get a clean-looking all-white panoramic style PC, then you could do worse than to pick the Thermaltake LCGS View 9890S-380XL.
Thermaltake Reactor 9880
The best RTX 5080 Thermaltake desktop.

PC Specs
- CPU: Ryzen 7 9800X3D
- COOL: 360mm AIO
- GPU: RTX 5080
- RAM: 32GB DDR5
- SSD: 2TB NVME
Pros & Cons
- Close to the best CPU/GPU combination
- X3D CPU will handle CPU-heavy titles well
- Unique case design and layout
- 8 preinstalled ARGB fans
- Lower perf. than 5090-based system

Thermaltake Reactor 9880 Overview
Thermaltake’s Reactor 9880 lineup of PCs are all built in their Tower 600 cases. This is one of the more unique cases on the market right now, as it features a front-facing design and a side-to-side airflow configuration.
It definitely stands out.
And, while you can get an RTX 5090-based Reactor desktop (if you prefer the Reactor setup to the View setup), we like the configuration this RTX 5080 configuration comes with…
It sports an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU, NVIDIA’s RTX 5080, and 32GB of DDR5 6400MHz memory. That’s a good enough combination to have you gaming at 4K resolution, playing most games at max settings.
This system also comes with a 360mm AIO cooler and a 2TB NVME SSD.
In the end, this configuration of the Reactor 9880 is priced much more competitively than the RTX 5090-based View listed above, and actually comes close to matching competitor’s options for an RTX 5080 prebuilt PC.
Thermaltake LCGS View 7897XS-270

PC Specs
- CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D

- Not a lot of storage for the price

Thermaltake LCGS View 7897XS-270 Overview
Perhaps the best overall value option from Thermaltake right now is their LCGS View 7897XS-270 desktop. This configuration of their View series comes with AMD’s Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor, AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 XT GPU, and 32GB of DDR5 RAM.
The 7800X3D is a generation older than the newer 9800X3D, but it only trails in performance by a small margin. And while the 9070 XT doesn’t offer the same upscaling and raytracing performance as its closest competitor (the RTX 5070 Ti), it does match it in raw performance, and you won’t find an RTX 5070 Ti-based desktop available for under $2,000 anyways.
And with a pricetag of closer to $1,800, the LCGS View 7897XS-270 is about as good of a value desktop as you’ll find in the sub-$2,000 price range at the moment.
This system also comes with a 240mm AIO CPU cooler, a 1TB NVME SSD, and is housed inside of Thermaltake’s View 270 Plus case.
Overall, if you’re looking for the best Thermaltake gaming PC for under $2,000 (let alone the best gaming PC for under $2,000 period), then this configuration of their View lineup is definitely worth a look.

Pros & Cons

- 8GB VRAM not ideal going forward

Thermaltake LCGS View i560T-170 Overview
Thermaltake has a handful of desktop available for under $1,500 but they all have one flaw… they opt for the 8GB version of the RTX 5060 Ti instead of the 16GB version.
This Skytech Azure 3, for example, comes with the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB version and an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU, which is a really incredible combination for the price from a prebuilt PC.
However, Thermaltake’s LCGS View i560T-170 does come in at quite a bit under $1,500 (~$1,250) so at least it does offer a value proposition.
This configuration comes with an Intel Core i714700F processor, NVIDIA’s RTX 5060 Ti (8GB) GPU, and 16GB of DDR5 memory. It also comes with a single tower air cooler, and a 1TB NVME SSD.
Again, it is $250 cheaper than the Skytech desktop we mentioned above, but if it were us, we’d stretch our budget to go with Skytech’s superior hardware configuration. If this Thermaltake desktop were to drop a bit lower, it might make more sense, though.
Thermaltake LCGS Quartz i1460
The best budget Thermaltake desktop under $1,000.

PC Specs
-
- CPU: Intel Core i5-14400F
- COOL: Single tower cooler
- GPU: RTX 5060 8GB
- RAM: 16GB DDR5
- SSD: 1TB NVME
Pros & Cons
- Good 1080P gaming performance
- Very affordable pricetag
- Only comes with 16GB of RAM
- GPU’s 8GB of VRAM isn’t ideal
- Not a lot of storage out-of-the-box

Thermaltake LCGS Quartz i1460 Overview
The sub-$1,000 price range for gaming PCs is basically limited to options that either have an RTX 5060, RX 9060 XT (8GB), or Intel Arc B580 in them. And while those GPUs aren’t terrible (they will do well enough in 1080P gaming), you could build something much more powerful with a $1,000 budget.
However, if you don’t feel like building your own PC, this budget-oriented Thermaltake desktop should still serve you well.
It comes with an Intel Core i5-14400F processor, NVIDIA’s RTX 5060 GPU, and 16GB of DDR5 memory. It also comes with a single tower CPU cooler, a 1TB NVME SSD, and an all-white mid tower PC case.
The combination of the 14400F and RTX 5060 will be good enough to handle the majority of games at max settings at a 1080P monitor. And with NVIDIA’s DLSS, you’ll be able to overcome the limited VRAM a bit.
However, more and more games are being developed to utilize more than 8GB of RAM and that likely doesn’t bode well for the RTX 5060 down the road.
Still, this system is about as good of a configuration as you’ll find from a prebuilt in the sub-$1,000 price range. So, if your strapped for cash and still looking for a solid gaming PC, the Thermaltake LCGS Quartz i1460 is a solid choice.
What is the Best Thermaltake Gaming Desktop Right Now?
Thermaltake offers extreme RTX 5090 configurations in either their View or Reactor lineup, but we chose their View 9890S-380XL as our pick for their top option. If you don’t have the stomach for that pricetag, though, their RTX 5080-based Reactor configuration will offer nearly as good of performance for a couple thousand dollars less.
Their best value options are either their View 7897XS-270 (~$1,800) or their Quartz i1460 (~$1,000). We like the View 7897XS-270 because it comes with an AM5 X3D chip and AMD’s flagship RX 9070 XT GPU.
And the cheaper Quartz i1460 stays under $1,000 and offers better specs than competitors sub-$1K options.
